About
The Robotics with mBot course is specially designed for children aged 8 to 12, offering them the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of technology in an interactive and fun way. Using the educational mBot robot, children will learn the basics of robotics and programming through hands-on activities. By building and programming the robot, they will understand how sensors, motors, and automated systems work.
The course promotes creativity and critical thinking, while also encouraging cooperation and problem-solving. Each lesson is structured so that children progressively develop their programming skills, using the mBlock platform, which makes learning both accessible and engaging.
Course objectives
- Familiarization with the basic concepts of robotics.
- Building and assembling the mBot robot.
- Programming the robot using a block-based programming language.
- Using sensors to control the robot’s movements and behavior.
- Developing problem-solving skills through practical projects.
- Encouraging creativity by creating interactive projects and robot games.
- Learning the basic concepts of automation and autonomous systems.
- Participating in robotics competitions: Children will learn how to prepare and optimize their mBot robots for various competitions, developing collaboration, strategy, and critical thinking skills. This aspect of the course will provide them with the opportunity to compete with other students and test their robots in real-world challenges, simulating problem-solving scenarios and improving their robots’ performance.
